As far as I am concerned, Cao Xueqin is a Han but not a Manchu!
In fact, we can know that Cao Xueqin who is Cao Xueqin's ancestor had added Manchu White Bannerman in the age of the later Jin. Caos Manchu more than 100 years to Cao Xueqin, so that somebody says that Cao Xueqin is a Manchu. But in my opinion that Cao Xueqin is a Han who had been Manchu localized. Because just as all we had known that the Chimers who live in the China Town which belong to America. What do we call them? The Chinese! So we can clearly to say Cao Xueqin is a Han!
In the other hand, according to LiGuangbai's Cao Xueqin is Manchu's Writer? Which had published in the Hongloumen Journal first series. The Li told us that Bannerman≠Manchu.In the Qing danasty,the emperor did not recognize the Bannerman is Manchu but a Han.
There is another evidence that Chinese divide the race is not according to the Area, the
Language and the Habit. but the Lineage.In the world, we can not add the race you like casually
The race has recognize by the Lineage, so Cao Xiyuan had added in Manchu, but he is a Han
And Cao Xueqin is a Han, too.
In my word, Cao xueqin is a Han who had been Manchu
localizated.Somebody who says
Cao Xueqin had been Manchu localizated,so he is a Manchu. But in fact, Manchu had been
Han localizated in Qing danasty.So we have to call Manchu to the Han? The answer is No!
And that, we can call Cao Xueqin is a Han who had been localizated but is not a Manchu!
All in all,Cao Xueqin is a Han who had been Manchu localizated.
