ThecenterofKunmingis1891metersabovethesealevelandissurroundedbymountainsexceptforthesouth,wheretheLake-Dianchilies.TheannualtemperatureofKunmingisofnodrasticchangewiththeaveragedailytemperatureof15.1degreeCelsius.Becauseofthis,Kunmingiswell-knownasaspringcity.Therearemorethan400kindsofflowersplantedinthecity,andthecamelliaisthecityflower.Also,themildtemperatureattractshundredsofthousandsoftheblack-headedgullseverywinter.
