简爱书评 Jane Eyre: Fire and Water Jane Eyre, a woman, who has ordinary appearance but great soul. She knows what she really wants. She fights for faire, for love. Everyone should have a heart to insist on and love, which we can learn from Jane Eyre. Unfortunate childhood does not make her shrink back. And it is she who speaks sternly out of a sense of justice and makes the influential official fright. Confronted with hopeless life which filled with sadness and misery, most people choose to be backward and have no urge to make progress. Jane Eyre does not, even though nearly all the people watch her all kinds of disadvantaged position and tell her not to extravagant hope to the life. She refuses to give tacit consent to the lowly they force to bring. And she demands people who look down on her to accept that she may be not worth to be mentioned, but she is the dominate force of he life. She may be not pretty enough, but she was worth to be loved. Jane Eyre is like fire, burning in the darkness. We remember her fighting for justice and equality with her aunt, people who look down on her and her lover, Mr. Rochester. “Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong～” This is equality in Jane Eyre’s mind .The power inside her body is like a big fire burning so that it is so strong and make us short. Her fire lights her heart and her life, helping her to support herself, to insist on her belief that everyone is equal. We can be poor in live, but we can not be poor in life. Everyone should have a fire in the heart, lighting the road. We must admit that Jane is not a beautiful woman. However, under the ordinary appearance is there a charming heart. And if a man does really love a woman, what attract him is her kindness and thought. So does Mr. Rochester. When everybody thinks they will have a happy life, the sad thing happens. Because of Rochester’mad wife, the weeding has to be called off. Tagore says: “The furthest distance in the world is not between life and death. But when I stand in front of you, yet you don’t know that I love you. The furthest in the world is not when I stand in front of you, yet you can not see my love. But when undoubtedly knowing the love from both, yet we cannot be together.” Just as Jane and Rochester. To the love, Jane Eyre is just a woman. She loves Mr. Rochester. However, the happiest time, becomes the most pained time in her life. What she can do is to leave. Never more can she turn to him and she wishes she could die. How poor she is. Her tears turn into heart, hiding the love into the deepest. She is a woman, made of water, wanting to be loved. Nevertheless, Jane’s heart never leaves Mr. Rochester. Great love shares weal and woe. Though he became blind and lost arms, Jane still loves him even more than before .To love a person is not to love his strong body, but to love his kind personality. Jane shoes her enthusiasm and absolute sincerity to love. She is a woman, made of water, washing away the sad because of love. In my opinion, a person may be lost in difficulties and happiness. However, Jane Eyre insists on her belief and fights for justice and equality when she is in disadvantaged situation. And she keeps the law of God and man. She gives up her love because she knows if she still got together with Mr. Rochester, she would look down on herself. She tells us we cannot be selfish in the name of love. The most beautiful appearance will be disappearing by the passage of time. But a kind heart will charm people forever. Maybe we cannot be wealthy and pretty, but we must respect ourselves. Self-respect is the first step to make others respect us. Being steadfast and persevering makes Jane Eyre meet the burdens of the day with a smile. So do us.
