A creative person you admire
Speaking of someone who is creative, I’d like to talk about Bruce, one of my colleagues. We have worked for the same company dealing with computers for about 3 years. We shared the same office in the company.
3 years ago, when I first joined the company, Bruce was the first colleague the HR department introduced to me. We introduced each other, and he told me ‘Welcome aboard’. So that’s how I got to know him. Later, I found we took the same bus to work. Then we got familiar with each other very soon.
We spend a lot of time working together, and I’ve found that Bruce is very creative. I mean, he’s fond of thinking out of the box. When we work on some solutions to the problems, he considers many aspects, and proposes different perspectives. Once we got a complaint from a customer. Usually we made a phone call to inform the customer the solution, but the customer was an old lady who could barely understand what we were talking about. So Bruce decided to fix the problem by himself through the distant control on the internet. As a result, the problem was fixed, and the old lady was very satisfied with our service.
I really admire his creativity mainly because this is something I’m in lack of. It’s difficult for me to come up with new ideas, but I don’t know how he is able to do that. I can learn from his ideas, and possibly, learn to be a little bit more creative. So I really hope that I can be someone like him.
