Section 6 - Accidental Release Measures
General Information:Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8.
Note: Wear a self contained breathing apparatus and appropriate personal protection. Leakage region ventilation. Fight or remove all ignition sources. To prevent leakage of material into the sewer or confined space.
Small Spill: Use appropriate tools to put the spilled solid in a convenient waste disposal container. Finish cleaning by spreading water on the contaminated surface and dispose of according to local and regional authority requirements.
Large Spill: Use a shovel to put the material into a convenient waste disposal container. Finish cleaning by spreading water on the contaminated surface and allow to evacuate through the sanitary system.
Section 7 - Handling and Storage
Handling: Approved respirator. Compatible chemical-resistant gloves. Chemical safety goggles, Mechanical exhaust required. Safety shower and eye-bath. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure wash thoroughly after handling.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Store in a tightly closed container. Away from heat, ignition sources and materials compatibility. Near the storage areas have adequate fire extinguishers and spill clean-up equipment.
Section 8 - Exposure Controls, Personal Protection
Engineering Controls: Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to keep airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. If user operations generate dust, fume or mist, use ventilation to keep exposure to airborne contaminants below the exposure limit.
Personal Protective Equipment: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles. Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure. Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure. Wear self contained breathing apparatus to avoid inhalation of the product.
