Born in 1472 and lived for only 57 years,Shouren Wang is one of the greatest philosopher of ancient China.He called himself”Yangmingzi”,so many scholar see him as”Teacher Yangming”or”Yangming Wang”.After he died,he is given the name of”Wencheng”,so he is also known as”Wenchenggong”.
Shouren Wang is a famous thinker of Ming Dynasty,as well as a writer, philosopher and strategist.He is not only a synthesizer of”Luwangxinxue”,but also proficient in Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Its academic thinking is spread into China, Japan, the Korean Peninsula and Southeast Asia,in an achievement which ranks first among the Ming Dynasty.
Wang is young and promising.When he is 13 years old,his mother died,which has a great influence on him.Once he discussed with his teacher on what is the most important thing in the world, he is outstanding to think that the world's most important thing is to study to be a sage person. At that time the national affairs is in the state of corruption and many things cast a huge shadow
in the minds of the young man. He vowed to learn the art of war for the country.When he is fifteen years old,he repeatedly wrote to the emperor.But his suggestions were put down peasant uprising, he failed.
In order to practice Zhu Xi "inquiring", once Wang decided to research the bamboo, he"grid" three days and three nights of bamboo, but found nothing.What”s more,he get ill in the end. Since then, Wang had a great doubt on the "nature of things" theory.This is the famous story of Chinese philosophy,"Tan Siu Lin bamboo grid."
In 1506,Wang was sent to Gui province,where is very poor,to make up his mistakes.Wang did not give up, he taught the locals according to the customs of civilized,and is loved by the people.At that time,he came up with new ideas insight.
Wang Yangming inherit and carry forward the Chinese Confucianism unique human spirit. He proposed 'benevolent universe as a whole should', is to create harmony between man and nature; he made 'unity of knowledge', is to create harmony between man and society; he made the Conscience, is to create people with their own harmony.
Wang”s thought is a wonderful work in the history of Chinese civilization,which is proud of each of us.He sounded the horn liberation of humanity, leading the trend of the late Ming Dynasty ideological emancipation.His ideas spread through the ages,and modern times,such as Kang Youwei, Sun Yat-sen, who have benefited from it.
