Which Is More Important ; Nature or Nurture ?
Which is the major influence to our characteristics ; nature or nurture ? This issue leading to a heated debate among people recently. Some people believe that the characteristics we are born with have much more influence on our personality , while I think it's the nurture that influence us more .
On the one hand , the so-called talents are always those who work hard . For not all children are born distinguished . If they don't work hard ,they can never achieve success . For example , Edison invented the lamp after he failed 1000 times . We all know that he is very intelligence , but he still can't invented the lamp without 1000 times failure . " no pains no gains" no one can be success without hardworking , even he was born intelligence . So this the reason why I think nurture is more important .
On the other hand , it is believe that "children learn from what they see" . It means that the circumstances plays a more important role . The parents , teachers , as well as other people around the world are the main builders who develop it's personality. A person's characteristics not only from their parents ,but also from their surroundings . For example , there is a child who was born very clever and he won a lot of prize is his childhood . However , at his teenage years , he followed the bad guys to go to the internet bar all day and all night . Then he became addicted into the computer games and he care nothing but computer
games. Finally he was sent into the prison for he has stole the money to pay for his computer game bill. I also believe not only bad friends but also abusive parents can ruin even a child born in the most promising of situation . How can you count on the gamble parents can cultivate a genius !
As you can tell from my analysis ,among all factors affecting the growth of the children, nurture is the crucial one which is more important than the nature . So now that we can't change the nature we were born with , why not try our best to nurture our gifts and talents .
