傲慢与偏见 读后感英文版
In my book review, I prefer to recommend the Pride and Prejudice of Jane Austen. Someone simply treat Pride and Prejudice as a romantic or love story. However, from my perspective, this book is an picture of the society at that time. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works characters. Basically, as the progenitor of the romance novel, the novel has a very simple structure : two people should be together on the first page and end up together on the last, with various complications to fill up the rest of the book. It's in the complications where the qualities most come out that set Austen apart from her latter-day followers: witty dialogue, a sense of the brutality of individual character, and a keen, analytical eye for rivulets of emotion running through the smooth-surfaced stream of everyday events. What makes Pride and Prejudice such a good book is the craftsmanship of the novel, the immaculate language, the clarity of thought, the wit, the elegance of the story and the look at human motives and psychology. If you take your time and really read Jane Austen, you will have a better understanding of your language; you will have a better ability to utilize your language to express complex thoughts; you will have a deeper knowledge of how to live life; and you will have a better understanding of the psychology of life and how a person's psychological predispositions--if left unexamined--can thwart happiness and success. That's why Pride and Prejudice is such a good book. Although Austen was only 21 when she wrote “Pride and Prejudice”, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this book surprisingly mature and lively. The plots in her works are always very natural. The development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics. I think the depth of Pride and Prejudice is the reason that makes this book prominent and classic. Today, her book still can be the guide telling us the economic relationships both at her time and in modern time. After reading this book, I think the relationship between a man and a woman are extremely complex. The complexities between these two people are steeped in not only their own feelings but the ties that bind then to their own families. This is an often difficult situation among two people who love one another. However, whether it be the social misgivings of a time long gone, or the vulgarity that finds its way into the pressured relationships that exist today. Pride and Prejudice teaches us to walk in anothers' shoes. It's a great life lesson, which is why it is on your reading list i. The value of some lessons never go out of style.
