Firstly, the health care reform has a great effect on the American government and the whole country. As is known to us all, the U.S. is one of the few wealthy countries on which the health insurance hadn’t been completely covered. The cost of the system of heath care is extremely huge while having little efficiency. In the present system of health care, the doctors spent too much time and energy on dealing with affairs such as health insurance and medical lawsuits, which results that the quality of medical care can’t be fully guaranteed. Compared with other countries in the world, the money that the American government had spent in public health, which over two thousand billion dollars annualy, is too much. What makes matter worse is that so much spending in this has already held up the development of the economy of America. If this health care reform can be conducted as plan, there will be a deficit reduction of 143 billion dollars during the year of 2010 to 2019 and 1200 billion dollars of deficit will be reduced in the following ten years. And that indicates the America government can put more energy and money in other fields, such as the technology and military affairs. Secondly the health care reform is of extraordinary importance to the American people. In fact, there is still at least 50 million people in the U.S. who are uninsured. A great number people can’t have a job to do because of different reasons such as disability. And that results in many people can’t attend the government-funded plans, nor can they get an Employer-Provided Insurance. These people’s lives are miserable. They don’t have the money to pay the bills when being sick. It seems that there isn’t a better way to solve this problem except for the health care reform at least in the present. Generally speaking, the health care reform directed by Barack Obama is of great importance to the U.S. and it just like a milestone in the history of America.
