There is an increasing number of Chinese parents sending their offsprings who haven't gratuated from high school to foreign countries for study in these years.This common phenomenon has arisen a great concern of society.But what is leading up to the phenomenon?
To my viewpoint,the trend of overseas study at an early age is caused by manifold factors.First of all,with globalization and the policy of reform and opening-up,being exposed to other cultures is becoming fashionable among nations.Many Chinese parents expect their children to broaden horizons and become a cosmopolitan person through going out.
Besides,the intense competition in study and employment is one of the motivators of studing abroad at an early age.Some students are afraid of failing in college entrance examination,so they opt for going to school in another relatively relaxing world to avoid competition..And some students study overseas to make it easier to find a satisfying job.
In the terms of education,compared with developed countries,the quality of Chinese education has a long way to go,so parents' thoughts of helping kids accept higher-quality education when young with earnings is not difficult to understand.
In my opinion,this trend is hard to say"good"or"bad".Because it has both positive aspect and negtive aspect.What is actual is rational.More and more students studying abroad will promote the communication of different cultures.They will bring Chinese customs across the seas and also take other fresh things back to China.Moreover ,this trend is helpful to nurture experts in some professional fields like Zhan Tianyou,Qian Xuesen,they studied overseas and then exerted knowledge which was learned from other countries to improve the development of China in turn.But from the other side,we are losing more and more talents.Some Chinese people prefer to live or work abroad when they gratuate beacause of the temptation of high salaries or better living situations.It’s a paradox.
Faced with the problems which are revealed by the phonomenon.,we should take some countermeasures to solve them.For instance,our government needs to increase the investment in national education and create more jobs and chances.Presumably to develop the economy is the major concern to attract more native students to study in motherland.
