The Lady on Pemberton Street
The total article tells a story about a special lady whose name is Mable Howard. But it’s written by the observant author according to a man’s angle of view . The author and his wife moved to a little street called Pemberton . Mable Howard came to their house to show them friendiness and told them to pay attention to the trash day . From this ,they got acquaintance with the good-temper neighbor. Mable was always sweeping the sidewalk without tireness . She tried to keep the block continuous clean . She insist on giving the author money as she knew about the handy maintainer .She continue to paying for the maintaining without accepting the author’s refuse . As a matter of fact ,she considered it her own responsibility for the whole block’s cleaning. She emphasized the importantance of the public poverty to the private place for each residents. The author was so grateful for the lady because he became environmentally conscious under the influence of Mable . The cleaning is infectious.The author and all the inhabitants were respect for the splendid block capitain. About her character: self-giving , dedicated , obliged , laborious , ungreedy , kind , able ,principled. Each of us is supposed to learn the personality from her figure. We should pass the environmental consciousness on everybody. Try to make the world a harmonious one .
It’s Our World ,Too!
Andrew Hilleman’s peace was broken by a letter which is aiming to wanting to develop the private land to his own yard. He’s so angry of knowing this issue, and he extensively opposed to the building of condominium units near his home . In this case ,Andrew decided to fight for his cause .He picked out a lot of specific law books which can be genuinely used for the land rights.Finally he found one that he really need. The Hatch Act said “ it was illegal to build within ine hundred feet of a wetland unless you had a permit ”. He was extremely happy to get the ammunition he needed. He then began to make preparations for the rejection of the illegal land development .He was still busy with his schoolwork , but he made much more efforts to continue his resourch .He even created the state which was called Audubon Society’s Environmental Healthy Line and askd for ideas .Gradually he kept organizing an ambush for his nearing speech and reaction for the unreasonable issues. In fact , this is always the truth :No pain , No gain . He won the victory with his parental selfless supports and of course his terrific efforts for the moment. He proved to everyone that someone’s own land shoudn’t be taken away . Anyone has the reaponsibility to protect our own world. He’s such a brave boy to keep his world
