Section B
Step 1 warming-up
Ask the students some questions about their life:
Do you like English?
What’s your name? How old are you? Have you been to Ganzhou before? .etc.
Step 2 Revision
Do a guessing game.
Let the students to know different kinds of pollution.
Call six Ss come to the front of the classroom, and let them do some performing what the teacher given them.
1. Using the hands to cover mouth. Make a terrible faces. ( air pollution)
2. Using the hands to cover ears and want to be quiet. ( noise pollution)
3. Get the students to drink the water, and then to spit out of the mouth. ( water pollution)
4. Get the student using pesticide action. (soil pollution)
5. using the hands to cover the eyes. (light pollution)
6. Get the students to throw the litter everywhere. (litter)
Then teaching the words: my goodness, several.
Step 3 Look, say and discuss.
Get the students to look at the pictures on the blackboard.
Then ask them some questions:
What can you see in picture 1?
Is there some birds there?
Is the environment beautiful or terrible?
Let the students to talk about the them.
Discuss: What will happen if there is now water? Then, the students express their ideas.
Step 4 Listen, read and say
Get the students to listen to 1a and answer the question
What kind of pollution have mentioned in the dialog?
Then get the students to listen and read the dialog again, answer the following questions.
1. What are they going to do?
2. Why do they choose the West Hill?
3. Is it still a beautiful place now?
4. What do they want to do then?
Step 5 Reading and fill in the blanks.
Get the students to read the dialog again, and then let them to fill in the blanks.
Kangkang and his classmates are planning to go West Hill for a _______. He hasn’t _____ there before. The west Hill was a ______place with flowers and _____. The water is very______, and people can see ____ swimming. But now, the water is______, it smells _______.Everything has _______.
Step 6 Work alone
Get the students to read 1a again and fill out the form on page 27.
Then let the students to check the answer.
Step 7 Homework
Write the words according to the ideas of the sentences, the first letter has given.
