WHO ARE WE BioBay, located in Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District, with the area of 86.3 hectares, is an innovative science and technology carrier for development of the emerging biological industry and the nano technology industry, including the project incubator, accelerator, industrialization area, administrative office and the living facilities area. Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics, Chinese Academy and Sciences is set up in BioBay. Since it was opened for operation in June 2007, BioBay has been awarded "China International Nato-tech Innovation Cluster", "Chinese Service Outsourcing Pilot Base", "High Level Overseas Talent Innovation and Venture Base", "Jiangsu Bio-medical Industrial Park", "Jiangsu Nano Technology Industrial Park" and other titles and, obtained the national science and technology carrier accreditation of "National Science and Technology Enterprise Incubator" and "National Nano Technology University Science and Technology Park". BioBay endeavors to provide the comprehensive full process attentive services for the innovative companies following its ideal of "Professional, Passionate and Practical". It has established the comprehensive soft and hard service platform system, to help the companies reduce the R&D cost and accelerate transformation of the R&D results. The hard platforms include the drug analysis and test service platform, antibody technical service platform, drug delivery technical service platform, and the innovative drug platform jointly established with Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, as well as the nano technical service platforms of Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics which provide the test, processing, engineering and other professional services. For the soft services, BioBay provides the regulatory application and filing, industry-university-institute interfacing, investment-financing interfacing, business promotion, HR recruitment and training, business registration, firefighting and environment protection registration and filing, laboratory safety management, environment monitor and other professional services. Cold Spring Harbor Asia Conferences set up by Dushu Lake provides a convenient channel between the academic research in life science and industrialization for the innovative companies in BioBay. OUR TEAM The employees of SIP Biological Industry Development Co. Ltd. shall provide the comprehensive supports and services to companies in the Biobay in the professional, practical and attentive manner: Engineering Department shall be responsible for construction of all the infrastructures and the subsequent renovation, decoration, etc.; The Business Promotion Team with the high academic and profession background shall actively seek for cooperation opportunities on the global platform; Industrial Service Department shall provide the authority filing and the public platform services; Market Department is responsible for the all-around company image promotion and help companies develop the platforms for financing, cooperation, communication, etc.; Company Setup Service Department shall provide the services to companies from the environmental impact assessment at the beginning of residence in Biobay to the daily property management, ICT information integration platform, commercial facilities and EHS management; Asset and Finance Management Department and HR and Administration Department shall provide the services to Bio & Nano, and also the financial and HR services for companies in the Biobay according to their specific requirements. HISTORY OF BIOBAY ?On June 11, Symposium of Molecular Diagnosis and Prevention and Control of Cardiovascular Diseases of National "863" Program co-sponsored by Suzhou Industrial Park Biological Industrial Development Co. Ltd., was held in Suzhou Industrial Park. ?On May 28, 2011 Cold Spring Harbor Conferences - Seminar on Translational Approaches to Cancer was held in Suzhou. Mr. Chen Zhu, minister of Ministry of Health attended the meeting and gave the keynote speech. ?On May 21, AAMA, in collaboration with SISPark, BioBay and SIP Medium and Small Enterprise Service Center, held "National Entrepreneur Training Camp SIP Tour" in Suzhou. ?On April 23, Individualized Cancer Therapy and Molecular Diagnosis Symposium of National "863" Program of the 12th-Five Year Plan supported by Suzhou Industrial Park Biological Industrial Development Co. Ltd., was held in Suzhou. ?December 22, 2010: BioBay passed the review of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and became a national level science and technology company incubator, the 1st national level incubator in the biomedical industry in Suzhou. ?August 27, 2010: SIP BioBay Public Technical Service Platform was successfully accredited by China Accreditation Service for Compliance Assessment (CNAS). ?August 12, 2010: SIP Bio & Nano Technology Development Co. Ltd., the owner of Biobay, was renamed as SIP Biological Industry Development Co. Ltd. ?June 23, 2010: ChinaBio Partnering Forum 2010 was held on June 23, 2010. It was the largest international cooperation forum for the biomedical industry in China, jointly sponsored by BioBay, ChinaBio and EBD Group. ?May 21, 2010: SIP Bio & Nano Technology Development Co. Ltd., the owner of BioBay, was changed from a controlled subsidiary under Suzhou Ventures Group to a Level 1 state-owned regulatory company of Suzhou Industrial Park, becoming a state-owned large company in Suzhou Industrial Park. ?April 21, 2010: Suzhou Innovative Biomedical Research and Development Center was set up jointly by State Key Laboratory of Molecular Oncology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and Suzhou Industrial Park Bio & Nano Technology Development Co. Ltd. on April 22, 2010. ?April 7, 2010: Cold Spring Harbor Conferences Asia, the cooperation project between BioBay and Cold Spring Harbor, was launched on April 7, 2010. ?December 29, 2009: approval and launching of Suzhou Nanotechnology Industry-Teaching-Research Combined Innovation Service Platform, with SIP Bio & Nano Technology Development Co.
