Terra-CottaWarriors兵马俑英语介绍演讲Xi'an,oncethecapitalofelevenChinesedynasties,isfamousthroughouttheworldforlife-sizedterra-cottawarriorsandhorses.Theyhavewonfameasoneofthegreatestarchaeological考古学的findsofthiscentury.Backin1974,whilediggingawelltofightdrought,somefarmersunearthed发掘somebrownpotteryfragments,whichledtothegreatdiscoveryoftheterra-cottawarriorsasanexteriorsectionofthemausoleum陵墓[ˌmɔ:zəˈli:əm],ofQinShiHuang，thefirstemperoroftheQinDynastyAfter20yearsofcarefulexcavation挖掘，threeundergroundvaultsofficiallyopenedtothepublicin1979,1989,and1994respectively,displayingthousandsofterra-cottawarriors,horsesandchariots.Theyweretaggedintheorderoftheirdiscoveries.Vault拱顶1,builtwithearthandwood,isthelargestandfirstopenedtothepubliconChina'sNationalDayin1979.Sixthousandlife-sizedwarriorsandhorsesofterra-cottawerefoundintherectangularbattleformation.Thetroopswereofauniformheightof1.8meters.Theywearhelmetsandarmorandcarryrealweaponsintheirhands.Vault2isaboutonehalfvaultIinsize,housingnearlyathousandpotterywarriors.ComparedwithVault1,thesewarriorsareofalargervarietyandarrangedinmorecomplexbattlearray.Vault3isabuildingmoreresemblingagallery.Itwasbelievedtobethecommand指挥centerofthearmedforces.Ithas69potterywarriorswithdefensiveweaponsandawoodenchariotpulledbyfourmagnificenthorses.Thethreevaultsarenowwellpreservedinthreemodernconstructions,eachwithacorridoralongthesideofthevaultsothatvisitorsmayoverlookthewarriors,horsesandchariots战车intheiroriginalformations.BeingasightnottobemissedbyanyvisitortoChina,theTerracottaWarriorsandHorsesisasignificantarcheologicalfindofalltimes.ItwasalsolistedbyUNESCOin1987asoneoftheworldculturalheritages.
