Cause
1. Create a note with {0:this is an
example}{1:p}{2:and}{3:m} as the value
2. Select the Note
3. Select p or m
4. Right Click > Text Style
5. Select Cal_Grek as Font
Resolution 6. OK

Characters in Notes
Introduction
This technique will explain how to use Greek characters in notes. These characters are
often used to represent units of measure and mathematical variables
Procedure
1. Retrieve the drawing and begin to create the note. The Greek character desired in
this example is Mu. Select Insert, Note, Make Note and select the location for

Separating different portions of a note with braces and a number allows for
modifications to be made to just the selected portions. The note on the drawing
will appear as:
Distance = 3m
2. Select Format, Text Style, and pick just the letter 'm'. Hit the middle mouse
button and the Text Style dialog box will appear. Set the Font of the text to
'cal_grek'. Hit Apply and the letter 'm' will turn into the Greek letter Mu. The
table below lists the Calcomp Greek characters and their corresponding ASCII
characters. Notice how the ASCII letter 'm' matches up with the Calcomp Greek
letter Mu.
