Starter Unit 2 What’s this in English 第2课时 3a-4d 教学目标 一、知识与技能 1. Memorize the words and phrases: key, pen, ruler, cup ... 2. Use the sentences: What is this in English? It’s a/an ... Sing ABC song. Step 2: Revision A review of the key words by asking: What’s this? It’s a/an map, cup, ruler, pen, orange. Step 3: Tasks Task 1: 3a Listening practice Listen and number the pictures 1-8 when they hear them. And check the keys with students. Task 2: 3b Listen again. The students are asked to complete the words under the picture in 3a. Task 3: 3c-3e Oral practice Teacher asks “What’s this?” and a student gives the answers about the picture in 3c. Two students ask and answer questions about the things in the picture before class. All the students in pairs follow the example to ask and answer, then show the good conversations before the whole class. Encourage all the students to express their spoken English actively. While they are making conversation, I ask them to pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. Step 4: 4a-4b Do the students master the letters: Aa-Rr and finish 4a and 4b In order to consolidate the letters, ask some students to sing the ABC song. Step 5: 4c-4d 1. Ask the students to go through the contents in 4a to find out the pronunciation of the letters: A, E, I , O. Then let one student tell something about the rules of the pronuciations. The teacher explains the following: “A, E, I, O” pronounce differently in different situations. 2. Play the tape and ask the students to repeat. Make sure the students pronounce correctly. 3. Ask students to go through the contents in 4d. Remind them to pay attention to the different pronunciatons. Get some students to read the contents before the whole class. Step 6: Summary Ask the students to review the new words in this unit. Make conversations by using the structures: What’s this? It’s ...进行对话。 二、设计意图、教学片段及诊断片段 通过本节课的学习,提高学生的听力和运用英语的能力并掌握本课的新词汇。因此设以下环节。 案例片段 Warming up 1. Good morning/afternoon/evening! How are you? I’m fine, thanks. How are you? I’m OK. 2. Sing the alphabet song. Games 1. Teacher shows a letter quickly on the screen and asks : “What’s this?” Get the students to answer the questions like this: I think it’s A/B. Then show the whole of the letters to let the students check whether they’re right or wrong. 2. Go through the letters Aa-Hh quickly, pay attention to the intonation. Then play a game. 3. Listen and pick the right letter, then arrange the letters in the right order and read aloud. 1a-1c Work on 1a Look for the small letters in the picture for these big letters. Work on 1b Listen and repeat. Ask the students to finish the two tasks. 1c Make a conversation in pairs according to the picture in 1a Have two pairs present their dialogues in front of the class. Presentation Teach the letters Ii-Rr by using: What’s this in English? It’s Ii/Jj/... 2a-2e 1. Finish 2a. 2. Work on 2b listen to the tape and write the number of the letters in the boxes according to the order in which you hear them. Play the recorder twice and check the answers. 3. Look and copy the letters. 4. Work on 2d Write the small letters (or big letters) for big letters (small letters). While the students are doing the tasks, the teacher goes around the classroom to check what they are doing. 5. Ask the students to talk about the special letters. A few minutes later, the teacher gets three students to say the meanings of these letters. 课堂巩固及时到位。 利用1c环节使本课的重点知识得以巩固和提高。 三、教后反思 本节课充分利用教科书材料学习字母Ii-Rr,利用任务型教学方法充分调动学生的积极性,利用小组教学让他们合作竞争,充分发挥每个学生的主观能动性,使课堂在轻松愉快的氛围中进行。
