Why? 2、What should well-mannered people do? 3、What is you opinion of environmental protection? 1 1、Who do you admire most? Why? Who do you admire most in my mind? Why? I admire my parents most in my mind. I love them very much. I can learn more from my parents. They aren't very strict about things like my study. Because they tell me to learn how to study on my own .When I was very young,my parents let me know I must do things on my own. They often give me the support. So I become a self-confident boy. They are my parents, but also my friends.I often talk with them about my study and life.I'm very happy with them. I love my parents. And they love me too.In modern life, many people are intoxicated in pursuing bright stars: movie stars or pop singers. Y ou can say the passionate and active scene in a gala show. However, such stars cannot attract me, because I think them flimsy and not worth admiring. I like admiring hero. Zhou Enlai is a great man, but he is my hero.I believe every girl or woman loves or admires Zhou Enlai, because he is such a perfect man. No doubt, one of the reasons is that he is handsome. But I think the most important reason is his great personality and wisdom. He devoted all his life to China and Chinese people. Every Chinese people cannot forget him, and even the whole world cannot forget him.People often say: Zhou Enlai does not only belong to China but the whole world. I agree. Hisbehavior and spirits is inspiring people from generation to generation and his thoughts are influencing people all over the world.I still remember how sorrowful I was when I saw the document on Premier Zhou’s lastest days in Zhou’s Centennial ceremon y. When the doctor announced his death, Deng Y ingchao gave a deep kiss on his forehead silently. I can imagine how much love and favor were implying in the kiss. An excellent man who had accompanied her for most part of her life had to leave. How sad she would be!No one is immortal, but Zhou Enlai will live in our hearts forever. Premier Zhou, we love you! 2、What should well-mannered people do?(how to be a well mannered person?) In our daily life, if all of people are gentle and well-mannered, our harmonious society would be not far from us. It is actually not difficult to be gentle, a small number of selfish people make it too difficult to realize. It is a rotten apple that injures its neighbors. For example, when we order fired noodles in a eatery, the person who ordered dishes first should eat the first, that's the rule. But there are some people, we don't know whether they were really stupid or they pretended to be foolish, that don't know to wait for their turns. It seemed that we have no need to scrabble for dishes with him, because that will make us appeared narrowness. But the unfairness dose make us upset and angry. Today, I saw some cartoons on the way to my dorm. Two men have dinner together in a dining-room, after dinner person A paid the bill for both of them. One day, they have dinner together again. After dinner, person B proposed to go Dutch. Of course, person A would be angry for that. It was not just the problem of money, it was not fair. It is said that nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards. So let's jointly safeguard the principle of fairness and not to scrabble for the dishes each other. 3、What is you opinion of environmental protection?(how to lprotect environment?) 1) Solution of environmental problem we face now The population concentration to urban area has caused continuous degradation of the national land, the city and the natural environment. For instance, there are a waste problem, a heat island, a noise problem, rural desolation and abuse of water resources. We need to solve these problems in the society and the environment with a long-term view especially in our country where rapid population reduction has occurred prior to the world. As approaching the zero emission, the advanced resource-recycling society, we will make the most effective and synthetic plans and solutions possibly accepted by the society under various restrictions. And we will develop the technology and the system to realize them such as increase in efficiency of resources use, promotion of reproducible resources, construction of a durable energy system, construction and maintenance of the city. Besides, we will support aging society by effective use of space, development of the eco-friendly materials in construction and the eco-friendly construction method and so on. 2) Construction of safe and healthy environment of urban area The earth scale change of climate has brought a new kind of natural disaster and the developed and complicated city system is holding a latent risk of expanding the damage artificially. Also people has been spoiling the health since the immense quantity of chemicals have been produced and already used in pursuit of convenience and various toxic substances have been produced unintentionally and accumulated in environment. Therefore, We need some countermeasures from the viewpoint to prevent the city environment form disaster and to manage environmental risks. So we will develop and improve a new risk management system and a disaster prevention system to preserve and create the city environment where people feel easy and sound in their life. 3) Creation and Maintenance of the national land and the city environment where people live in harmonious and symbiosis with natural environment. People have the rights to live in “clean and rich environment” as well as the duty to protect, raise and create such environment. We are going to create and maintain a waterfront, a geofront, and a landscape with plenty of clean water and rich green. We will make a basic design for urban and city environment and develop the technology and the system to maintain the environment such as restoration of the lost natural environment in the water areas, creation of waterside environment, development of the construction methods for underground space considering environmental preservation, creation of a scene and a climate peculiar to an area, and so on.Protec t Environment Many people are active in fighting against unfair treatment to colored people, women , animals and so on. Right now I am talking about fighting for respect to our environment. Though the environment doesn’t have a mouth to deprecate what humans have done to her, she retaliates through action. In the early years the Chinese cut down large quantities of trees, at the source of the yellow river, which led to the disappearance of big forests and terrible floods. As a result, the Huangtu plateau which was once covered with grass and forests was turned into barrens that supported fewer plants. Another example was in several developed countries. Because many chemical factories discharged poisonous gas without filtering it, cities were covered with so much poisonous gas that people were killed by the air they breathed in. What horrible scene! What we are suffering is only a small part of what the nature once suffered. If we don’t take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation. Measures should be taken to protect the environment on which we are relying. First governments should forbid destroying vegetation, rivers and lakes, oceans, as and the atmosphere as well. Second voices should be made to announce the public of the importance of protecting the environment. Third enterprises should pay special attention to the effect they have on the environment and work out solutions for the problems. Only by changing the way we treat the environment can we get along well with it. Only by saving the environment can we save ourselves. 四、TOPIC 3 Topic 1: In what areas have you improved greatly since you come to study in Renmin University? Since I went into the university, I’ve been learned a number of things here.First, as I was far from my hometown and my parents, I was becoming more independent than I used to be. I had to learn how to take care of myself and how to deal with the different situation I was going to face. I began to wash clothes by myself, buy groceries myself, and even look after myself when I was ill.I also had to study my courses more independently. In senior school, the teachers always could help us solve the problems in our study every day. But now, the opportunity to communicate with teachers diminished, we had to solve most of the problems ourselves or discuss with each other. In addition, as the number of classes in the university is less than in the senior school, I have spare time that I can control by myself. So I have enough time to read my favorite books, join some organization and take part in other activities. By that, I can expand my field of vision, improve my knowledge and also make my life fullest. In college, we now live in the dormitories so that we are living with some people who are not families. At first, I did not feel comfortable about that. However, I gradually adapt to the way of life. Now I believe that dormitories provide the best chance to get to know other students and also make me start to get used to socialization. Consequently, I’ll be suitable to the society in the future. That’s the top thre e areas I have improved in the university. Topic 2: Nowadays we can often see young lovers display(表现) their love on university campus. Should there be limits on how we display our love in public? What do you think is the best way to express one’s feelings in public? We also can see many young lovers display their love in our school, such as in 百家廊. When it is getting dark, lovers sit together in the beautiful moonlight. There are some intimacies, they kiss each other, embrace and also say a lot of sweet words. I think there is nothing wrong with them. A s we are in open and free era, we shouldn’t make limits on how the lovers display their love in pubic. These kinds of activities are absolutely private affairs. If the lovers don’t feel sh y or ashamed, then let them go. But we should clearly know that in some decent and official location or occasion, there can’t be any intimacy. As we are living in a high-pressure era, expressing one’s feelings is very important. If our activities doesn’t bother others or make them feel uncomfortable, we can express our fee lings in public. For example, lovers could kiss each other or hug but something beyond that can’t be done. Also, we can’t shout very loudly in public when we are angry, we can’t quarrel or fight with somebody and we can’t be naked in public. However, we ca n express our feelings, especially some happy and wonderful feelings. On balance, our activities should be civilized, or at least show that we are living in a civilization. Topic 3: How would you change your life if you inherited a sum of one million dolla rs? Topic 4: There are a number of factors that contribute to success, such as opportunity, determination, perseverance, attitude, hard work, natural talent, self-confidence, etc. Among these factors, which two do you think are more important? Use examples and evidence to support your argument. Among all these factors that contribute to success, I think opportunity and perseverance are the two most important factors.Firstly, we can never find a successful person who doesn’t catch an opportunity to make a su ccess. Somebody say, “If I had an opportunity, I would make a miracle.” But in fact, these kinds of men just only wait for an opportunity to come and never do something to make or catch an opportunity. Opportunity will appear any where at anytime and will disappear soon. So you should work very hard to prepare yourself well to catch it.Secondly, one person could not make a great success when he first starts to do something. Every successful man needs perseverance. It is a quality and belief which a successful man should equip. Keep holding on one point when you make up your mind, you are to success. When you fail, please don’t lose heart, keep on working until you accomplish your aim.I have watched a famous American movie named . Topic 5: What is the ideal career in your mind? What are you doing now to prepare for your future ideal career? I dream of being a white-collar worker.First, I can have a comfortable environment to work. Everyday, I can wear clean suit and white collar to go to work and then I spend the next hours in the office. And the office room equipped with air-condition, computer and so on which can provide me with a perfect working atmosphere. Second, of course, this job goes with a high salary. Y es, this kind of work seems perfect, but it’s not easy to get. It takes much more mental work to do the job instead of labor energy. In addition, white-collar workers are under heavier pressure of work than others. This is the ideal career in my mind. I know it will take many ef forts for me to the destination. I’ll always hang on to the target and never give up. I hope one day I can realize my dream. Topic 6: Today, Valentine’s Day and Christmas are widely celebrated in China, particularly among the youth. It appears that young Chinese are more eager for foreign festivals than their own Chinese festivals. Meanwhile advocates of traditional culture proposed to give more holidays at Tomb Sweeping(清明) and Mid Autumn Festivals each year to remind the younger generation of the traditions of China. What are your reflections on these phenomena? Some Western holidays such as Christmas, Mother's Day, and V alent ine's Day are becoming more and more popular in China. In the West, Christmas is obviously the most important festival since it involves a long holiday, and almost all the people celebrate it. In China the Spring Festival is clearly the most important traditional holiday, which lasts three days or more and most Chinese both at home and abroad celebrate it. In fact, Christmas arouses increasing attention year by year in China. Christmas cards become popular with students. People hold Christmas parties and exchange Christmas gifts. A lot of TV and radio programs about Christmas are on. Meanwhile the Spring Festival is less appealing to youngsters. Thus some people wonder whether Christmas will replace the Spring Festival. I think we Chinese should pay more attention to traditional Chinese festivals such as the Spring Festival, the Lantern Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival. Observance of those traditional holidays increases cohesion凝聚力of the entire nation. If those traditional holidays should disappear, it would be a loss to Chinese culture and to world civilization as well. It is true that business people are seeking every opportunity to promote sales. So, for holidays, they try to sell cards, flowers and gifts. When people are happy preparing for a festival, they are willing to spend money, and businessmen have taken advantage of their generosity. So, in a sense, many holidays have been commercialized, though we have the right not to buy. I think it is natural that with increasing exchanges with the West, a lot of Western holidays have been gradually introduced into China. For us Chinese we should never neglect or even discard our own traditional festivals. For centuries Chinese have observed this traditional holiday to welcome the beginning of a new year. And we should treasure the Spring Festival forever. Topic 7: Do you think universities should offer more or fewer courses? Why? Please present your arguments in a clear way. I think the number of the courses we have now is just appropriate. We don’t need som e more or fewer courses. Normally a student must attend a certain number of courses in order to graduate, and each course which he attends gives him a credit which he may count towards a degree. In many American universities the total work for a degree consists of thirty-six courses each lasting for one semester. This does not include the elective courses, and a typical course consists of three classes per week for fifteen weeks. So I think our Chinese students have almost the same number of courses with the American students. For every course that a student follows, he is given a grade, which is recorded, and the record is available for the student to show to prospective employers. All the imposes constant pressure and strain for work, but in spite of this, some students still find time for great activities in student affairs. I think now, we are not having too much courses, so we still have time to do something we like, to foster our hobbies, to show our personal characteristics. We take part in some student affairs, and join the student union. This will be beneficial to us later in our career. Topic 8: Many university students are taking part-time jobs. What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of taking part-time jobs? What is your first consideration in choosing a part-time job? As we all know, many students at college often take part-time jobs in their spare time. In my opinion, part-time job has many advantages and a few of disadvantages too. First, if a student takes a part-time job, he or she will have more social experience than the one who doesn't. It will make one's life more fulfilled and it makes one know how to work in society, how to make money, how to live in society by oneself. Second, they will earn money from the job, so they can buy things that they want more freely. That can reduce the stress of their families and also makes their lives more comfortable. However, taking a part-time job also has disadvantages. It occupies one's study time, they have to spend time doing the job, so there will be less time spent on their study. So if we can't arrange the time between job and study, part-time job will influence our study. In addition, taking a job will certainly take our energy, and we are easier to get ill or tired. On the whole, in my opinion, though taking a part-time job has its advantages and disadvantages, but if we can hold a balance of it, it will be a very valuable thing for us in our college life and for our future. Topic 9: Friends are an important part in our life. What qualities do you think are most important in choosing friends? In choosing a friend, one should be very careful. A good friend is as a precious stone. She can help you study. Y ou can have fun together and make each other happy. Often you will meet fair-weather friends. They will be with you as long as you have money or luck, but when you are down, they will run away. How do I know when I have found a good friend? I look for certain qualities of character, especially understanding, honesty and reliability. Above all, I look for understanding in a friend. A good friend tries to understand what another person is feeling. She is not quick to judge. Instead, she tries to learn from others. She puts himself in the other person's place, and she tries to think of ways to be helpful. She is also a good listener. At the same time, however, a good friend is honest. She does not look for faults in others. She does not ignore them either. She would rather focus on their good points. In short, a friend will try to understand me and accept me. But she will not let me walk all over her. Another quality of a friend is reliability. I can always depend on a good friend. If she tells me she will meet me somewhere at a certain time, I can be sure she will there. If I need a favor she'll do her best to help me. If I am in trouble, she'll not desert me. When I meet someone who is reliable, honest and understanding, I know I have found a friend. Topics 10: Happiness is always considered important to human beings. But why it is so difficult to define happiness and why are the definitions of happiness so different among people? What are the main factors in achieving happiness? PLEASE give some EXAMPLES and relevant EVIDENCE. It has been widely noted that happiness is very important to our life. However, what is happiness? It seems difficult to define, for different people have different ideas. Some people are brought up that most important thing in their life. They obtain happiness from seeking fame and profit. Other people are in pursuit of mental edification开导. They serve people heart and soul and find happiness from it. In my view, according to philosophy, everything is in process of development including happiness. We spare no effort to achieve our goal and obtain happiness from success. However, after that we have another new aim to achieve. There is no limit to gaining lasting happiness. Then how to obtain happiness? I think true happiness can be got in the following ways: In the first instance, true happiness comes from hard work. A student is very happy when he has gotten high score in his examinations. His happiness is the result of his hard and patient study. Thus, happiness abounds富有in hard work. Secondly, happiness is rooted in optimistic attitude. In our daily life, we should face a lot of problems, which may lead to setbacks缺点. If these defeatist失败主义者sentiments情感seize us, happiness will be far away from us. The only way is right attitude and sparing no effort to overcome it then you can find happiness. Last but not least, happiness comes from frugality节省. Many example display people spending money wastefully for satisfaction of their desires may suffer from poverty in the long run. So living a simple and content life makes one happy and cheerful. All in all, happiness is very important to our life. The good method to find happiness is making our mentality and physicality both strong. 五、TOPIC 4 1,are you afraid of making mastakes ?why or why not? 2,what have you learned during the four-months college life. 3,what is your attidute toward famous people?admiration?pity ?or sth else? 4are there different types of love of humans?what are they ? On Making Mistakes As the saying goes: To err is human. We all make mistakes. But should we be afraid of making any mistakes? Are we allowed to make mistakes? Personally,we should not be too scared of our mistakes, because We often say that failure and mistakes are the mother of success when studying as a student. As long as we are brave to challenge ourselves and try new things, we will make mistakes, which is not bad, because making mistakes is also the natural process of learning. We all learn from our mistakes and failure and then we can move forward continuously. If we always feel scared about the possible mistakes we will make before we start to accomplish a new task or work out a problem, we won't achieve anything. However, for other people other than students, I guess we have to be very careful so that we won't make vital mistakes when completing assignment like flying airplane, driving a car and other things alike. For u, the right attitude towards making mistakes is to face up to them and try not to learn from our mistakes and from others'. At the same time, we should form a habit to do anything carefully, and not to make silly mistakes. I am very glad to be here for this interview. First let me introduce myself. My name is abc, 25 years old. I come from Weifang, a beautiful city of Shandong Province. I graduated from Commercial College in July, 2001 and major in finance. Then, I was a teacher in abc, When I was a senior school student, I am interested in thought and began to read a certain classic work of Marxism, especially I finished reading “the florilegium of Mao ZeDong”. From then on, I have dabbled in more and more theoretical works and accumulated great interests in theory study, especially in Marxism. I have a dream, a dream of my study. I wish devote my whole life and energy into the development of the Marxism. If I have the opportunity to study in abc University, I’ll dabble in as much as document about the specialty as possible. If it is possible, I want to get the primary accomplishment in my major, at least, a stable basis. Pers onally, for today’s China, the first task to the development of Marxism is a process of construction. That’s to say, we should understand Marxism mostly from the aspect of construction and development of social society. Only when our socialistic country has a more rapid and balance development than the capitalistic, we can enhance the attractiveness and persuasion of Marxism eventually. Well, in my spare time, I like soccer, pop music, and stamp, being a soccer fan; I always show my love to Manchester United and Ryan Giggs is my favorite. I also like English very much, and had passed Band six this year, but I do think it’s still a long way to study it, so I wouldn’t give up my English studying, and improve my oral and listening ability. So that’s all, thank you. could you speak slowly ?" or"sorry,i didn’t prepare for this question" I am sorry! I beg your pardon? I don't understand your question, Could you repeat it again?
