(利用对话形式,复习what / when / how to do) S1:    Hi, Li Hai. Have you decided how to spend National Day? S2:    Not yet, what about you? S1:    I don’t know what to do, either. My parents have decided to go on a trip. But I can’t decide whether to go with them. S2:    Going on a trip is a good idea. Have they decided where to go? S1:    Yes. They are planning to go to Beijing to visit the Great Wall. S2:    Do you know how to go there and when to start? S1:    They’re leaving by train on National Day Eve. My mother hates to take a bus. She says taking the train is the best way to travel. S2:    She’s right. It’s cheap and safe to travel by train. Wish them to have a good journey! S1: Thank you. T: Make similar dialogs in pairs. Try to use“what / which / when / where / how to do. ” 2. (组织学生谈论英语学习中遇到的困难,总结他们的学习方法。教师总结,导出新单词) S3:    Why are you so sad, S4? S4:    I didn’t pass the English exam. I just got 50 scores. S3: I’m sorry to hear that. Don’t worry. Do you still remember the proverb“Nothing is difficult     if you put your heart into it. ” S4:    Yes. But I have tried my best to learn English. I spent a lot of time in remembering new         words, but I don’t know how to remember them and how to get the right pronunciation. I     want to give it up. S3:    No, you mustn’t. English is very important. English is spoken widely in the world now, and     we’re planning to do something for the 2008 Olympic Games. S4:    Could you give me some advice on how to improve my English? S3: My pleasure. If you want to remember the new words, you should write the new words in     the notebook and take it with you, then you can recite new words wherever you are and you     should listen to the tape and read the text aloud. Improving your study method is very     important. Remember that the best method is practicing again and again. Don’t give up. S4: Use English as much as possible, right? S3: Yes. S4: Thanks. I’ll have a try. T: Well done. Your methods are very useful. So besides S4, some of you did not do very well in the last English exam. (教师释义并领读生词。) T: A few student had no time to complete the composition. They might not review the text after class. Do you think so? (板书,释义并领读:complete, might, text。) Ss: Yes. T: So improving your methods is very important. Last but not least, listen to the teacher      carefully in class. (板书并解释。) Step 2  Presentation 第二步  呈现(时间:10分钟) 1. (学生阅读1a,找出文中的学习方法,教师用多媒体/小黑板展示。) T:    Boys and girls, we have so many methods to learn English well on the blackboard. You can use one or more of them to help you. T:    How to improve my oral English? S2:    You should join the English club and speak English as much as you can. T: I dare not speak English in public. S3: You shouldn’t be shy and you should listen to English songs and read more English magazines. T: Thank you, and … … 3. (再读1a, 完成1b。) T: Read the text 1a, finish 1b, write down the learning methods the writer mentioned in the passage. Which is successful and which is unsuccessful? Complete the     form with your opinions.
