The world needs love
“What the world needs now is love, sweet love. It's the only thing that there's just too little of. No, it’s not just for some, but for everyone.”What a beautiful song. As we all know, as human being, we don’t live alone in this world; instead, we live together, love each other and help each other. Without love, we can’t imagine what a nasty world it will be .
Now, let me tell you a true story. It’s a tragedy actually. On 13th afternoon last month, a two-year-old girl named little Yueyue was killed by a car accident in Foshan, Guangdong province. The whole story goes like this. She was first run over by a car, which ran away as soon as possible afterwards. And then she was run over again by another car that followed. Eighteen persons passed by indifferently within seven minutes until a kind-hearted scavenger lent her helping hand. It was reported that little Yueyue passed away on the early morning a week later. I was full of anger when I heard the news. If I were a passer-by then, if I couldn’t be able to drove her to the hospital, at least I should have taken out my cell phone and called for an ambulance. If one of the eighteen passers-by have done so, he or she might have saved little Yueyue’s precious life. The lack of love led to a tragedy. I hope that such kind of things will never happen again.
In our daily life, we are dealing with people from all walks of life, no matter at home, in school, in the company, or at some other places. Everyone needs help. No matter how able a person is, he ca n’t do all the things by himself without help. And only those who are willing to help others will also be helped. So try to love and help others if you want to be loved and helped.
Besides, loving and helping others can bring us happiness. Whenever we help others, no matter the old, the poor or the disabled, we feel as if we are very important and needed. As students, we should try our best to help others. We can give away our old clothes and books to the children in remote rural areas; we can comfort and make friends with the disabled. If we ourselves are not rich, at least we can give our seats to the old, the disabled and the pregnant women on the bus, can’t we?
United, we stand, divided, we fall. Let’s unit, love each other, and care for each other. L et’s make a joint effort to make a better place of this world, for you, for me and the entire human being.
