论整容
Would you have your face changed to improve your chances in the job market?Why or why not?
我不会为了工作而去整容。我认为会因为工作去整容的人不外乎三种心理。第一，不懂得
欣赏自己。很容易看到自己消极的方面，只盯着自己的某一个缺陷，会越看越觉得那个缺陷
很大。第二，习惯为失败找理由。容易把失败和挫折归因于外表，即认为自己在工作、感情
上的不顺利，是因为自己的外貌问题，而不肯面对更深层次的原因，比如自己的品质、做事
的态度、处理人际关系的能力。第三，缺乏勇气和自信。真正有自信的人，是不害怕面对和
解决真正的问题，也不会因为自己的容貌而失去信心。正是由于这些心理，不少人试图用整
容来提高自信，殊不知这个方法其实不是万能的。
我之所以不会去整容是因为我相信自己可以有效的客服这些心理。我会分散对外表的注意
力，多去接触积极正面的人，把时间和精力放在更有效、更积极的地方，减弱或消除沉迷于
整容的行为。另外，我相信，当一个人的工作能力以及品质得到提升之后，外表也会因此而
改变。当人更自信、更沉稳时，气质也会变化，外表也会变得更好。
Here I should say that I will not change my face just for improving chances in the job market. From my point of view, there is nothing more than three psychological ideas for people who do cosmetic surgery before hunting jobs. Firstly, people have cosmetic surgery because they cannot appreciate themselves correctly. They are easy to see the negative aspect within themselves and stare at only one defect and in the long run, this defect will be enlarged; Secondly, they are used to finding causes for failure. They tend to contribute failure and frustration to the outside things. They think that it is their defective appearances that make setbacks in work and emotion. Also, they refuse to confront the deeper reasons such as their own quality, work attitude and interpersonal skills; Last but not the least is that these people strongly lack courage and confidence. A true confident people will be not afraid to face and resolve the problem. At the same time, they will not lose confidence just for their imperfect appearance. All
reasons above make many people spare no effort to go cosmetic to enhance their confidence. However, they can hardly realize that this method is not everything.
I won’t go to cosmetic because I believe I can conquer these negative ideas effectively. I can scatter to the attention of appearance and make new friends with more and more positive people. At meantime, I will put my time and energy on a more effective and positive place so as to abate or eliminate the phenomenon of addicting to the cosmetic behavior. In addition, I believe, when a person’s ability and quality have improved, their appearance will have changes at the same time. Similarly，people’s temperament and
appearance will go better when they are more and more confident and composed.
