These two big allies were constantly in a state of hostility because of different political and ideological convictions. The USA and the USSR bother had several millions of armed forces and possessed ten thousands of nuclear warheads. nullTherefore the tow superpowers dared not start a war .But they wanted to weaken and defeat the opposite side. Then they took various means (except military forces) such as economic blockades, political export, and armament races, to defeat the other. This is the “Cold War”.
