Composition: My/Her /His…vacation plan period 1 Section A Step1.Review Additions (1)Check the new words by asking Ss to pronounce then correctly. (2)Review "be+v.ing" sentences. Eg: T: What are you doing? Ss: We are having English . T: What is Luo Ming doing ? Ss: He is talking to Chen Qian. Step 2.New contents (1)Teacher says "We are having class now". But on National day I am going to Chengdu for vacation ." Then asks Ss: T: What is Miss Zhang doing on National Day Ss: You are going to Chengdu for vacation. T: Guess! What am I doing there? Ss: You are going to Du jiang Yan. You are visiting Du Fu Cao Tang…. Repeat the dialogue twice to make sure Ss can answer them. (2)Show the help them know "be+v.ing "express future. Eg: What is she doing for vacation? babysitting her sister doing exercise She's going camping playing basketball (3)Pair work 1) Two students a group then act in class. 2)Have Ss make a dialogue about vacation plan. 3)Finish the tape finish 1a and 1b. Step 3 .Homework Make three dialogues like 2c. The Second Period Step1.Warming up (1)Ask several groups to read their homework. (2)Ask Ss act their dialogues. (3)Say some new verbs about activities. Step2.New Contents (1) Do a dialogue like this: T: Do you like vacation? Ss: Yes, very much. T: What are you doing on National Day? S1: I am going to HangHoou. S2: I am visiting my cousins. S3: I am reading some novels. T: Who are you going with? S1: I am going with my parents. S2: I am going there by myself. T: How long are you staying there.? S1: I am staying there for 6 days. (2) Ss read 2c together, then recite it and act it in class without the book. (3) Play the tape, finish 2a and 2b. (4) Ask the Ss read 3a and ask some questions about it. (5) Help Ss do translate of 3a without looking at the book. (6) Ask Ss do dialogues like 3b and act it in class. Step 3 Free talk about Ss vacation Dreams, then write them on a piece of paper. At last teacher collects their paper and put them into a bag. The teacher hand it out to each of students. Have them read it out loudly to find who has the paper. Step 4 Homework Write a short article: My vacation Dream. Section B The third period Step 1 Warming up (1) Revise: what are you doing for vacation?... How long are you staying for vacation? Who are you going with? (2) Ask a few students to read their vacation Dreams. Then teacher asks questions according to Ss’ articles. Have the Ss answer it together. (3) Have Ss make dialogues about vacation with these short phrases, go bike riding, go sightseeing, take walks, go fishing, rent videos. (4) Gets Ss act out their dialogues in class. Step 2 New contents. (1) Lead Ss look through 1a and 1b. (2) Play the tape, finish 2a and 2b. (3) Check the answers. Step 3 Homework Pre read 3a The fourth period Step 1. Warming up (1) Make conversations with students. (2) Review 3a in Section A, The work in pairs. (3) Review Ss vacation Dreams. Step 2 New contents (1) Show some pictures to the Ss, have then learn new words and short verb phrases. Video-rent videos sleep-sleep a lot bike-ride a bike finishing-go fishing (2) According to the pictures, tell Ss some information about Ben Lambert’s vacation plan. e.g: For picture 4, the teacher says: Ben is riding a bike to Canada for vacation. T: What is Ben doing for vacation? Where is Ben doing for vacation? Ss: Should answer them together. (3) Open books and read the magazine article together, then Ss answer some prepared questions. (4) Finish 3b. (5) Repeat Julia’s vacation and Ben’s vacation. Have the Ss talk what kind of vacation would a famous singer or soccer player like? (6) Have the Ss write their own true plans. (7) Ask a few Ss to read their vacation plans to the class. Step3 (1) Tell Ss how to do 4. (2) The teacher helps them ask questions, Ss finish the chart of p82. Step4 Homework Recite some sentences of 3a. Self check The fifth period Step 1 Warming up (1) Show some phrases and do dialogues. (2) Have a diation of language goal. Step 2 New contents (1) Learn how to use these verbs: learn, hear, plan, ask and hope. (2) Suppose you are a tourist guide. Design some questions, then have some students to answer it. At last make a schedule on the Bb. (3) Have the students draw a similar schedule on their workbook. Step 3 Finish 1 and 2. Ask Ss read their sentences in class. Step 4 Revision (1) Review the words about vacation plan. (2) Review the activities about vacation plan. Step 5 Homework Write an article my/his/her…vacation plan. Summary:
