The significance of the west coast of the strait economic zone construction
Good afternoon , my name is Li ping-fang, I am glad to have a chance to stand before you, and I hope I will make a good performance today. Now let me talk something about the significance([siɡ'nifik?ns] of the construction of the west coast economic[,i:k?'n?mik]zone.
Fujian is the center of construction of western economic strait, which is opposite to Taiwan and adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao District. In geography, it covers the western part of Taiwan Strait, including southern part of Zhejiang, northern part of Guangdong and some parts of Jiangxi.
What's more, it connects with 2 economic zones of Zhu-Jiang triangle delta and Yangtze delta.
It bases on the 5 central cities, including Fuzhou, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Wenzhou, Shantou, as well as the economic area formed around the 5 central cities.
It is in the process of constructing an opening,
coordinately [k?u'?:dneit]developing and
prosperous:['pr?sp?r?s] economic integrity
[in'tegriti]. Fujian has the unique advantage of communicating with Taiwan.
The hercynian[h?:'sini?n] strategy['str?tid?i] complies with the tendency of economic globalization and regional cooperation, with the needs of China's peaceful development and the wish to improve the cross strait relation.
The strategy is of vast prospect and grand hope.
I believe that as long as we keep on working with it persistently, the construction of
hercynian[h?:'sini?n] economic will have a much more beautiful tomorrow!
