The theme of the play is condemned as the hypocrisy and treachery and general corruption at the royal court. The poet created a man of the Renaissance with humanist ideal, which is shaping the greatest repetition of humanist. It can be said that Hamlet to life the dark side or a more profound understanding. The past he was only turned a blind eye to it all. Now the harsh reality forced him to face all this. He had a premonition that he had been dragged into the inevitable fate of a tragedy.
Hamlet’s thought describe is the main content of this part. It gives reader a characterization of Hamlet. He is a man of contemplation rather than action. He is a man of pessimism and melancholy. He is an ideal Renaissance humanist.
View of this tragedy, its aesthetic value combines four aspects.
First, it contains humanist ideas. The thinking of the question of life or death, thought or action, and revenge or endure, criticism to the unfair society. These are all of the spirit of humanist at that time.
Second, from the psycho-analytical approach, it called dramatic presentation approach, for most part is concerned with the analysis of the spiritual, emotional and mental lives of the characters. For example: “To be, or not to be” reveals the inner
contradiction of Hamlet.
Third, this scene is the most famous has another important reason, which is use figurative language commonly with wild imaginations, such as simile, metaphor, alliteration and so on. Metaphor can add emotional intensity. For example, “Or to take arms against a sea of troubles” this sentence use the figure of metaphor. A sea of troubles means many troubles. Another example is “With a bare bodkin?” this
sentence use the figure of alliteration.
Fourth, it used rhythmical iambic metres. It is consisting of five verse feet, an unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable. In this part of the whole play, you can find it here and there. For example, “To be or not to be: that is the question”. It
reads as light\stress\light\stress\light\stress.
After all, the play can be a famous one must have more advance things in it, not only from its aesthetic value, but also from its active spirit. The play leads a new road of life to the human. But we must know clearly about the Hamlet, which is more thinking than active. We should really do it when we understand what the most meaningful things are.
