But she‟s still hungry, so she eats through a green pear on Friday. Then she falls asleep on Saturday. She sleeps and sleeps and sleeps. When she wakes up she becomes a very beautiful butterfly on Sunday. 4. The three little pigs Once upon a time, there lived three little pigs. One day, each pig desided to build a house to keep safe from the big bad wolf. You see, the wolf loved to eat little pigs. The first pig built a cozy house of straw. But the big bad wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down. Quick as a wind, the first pig ran away before he became breakfast. The second little pig built a cozy house of sticks. But the big bad wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down. Quick as a wind, the second little pig ran away before he became lunch. The third little pig built a cozy house of bricks. He invited the two other pigs to live with him. The big bad wolf huffed and puffed and huffed and puffed. But he just could not blow the brick house down. “I‟m coming down the chimney to eat you for dinner!” said the wolf. “Please do!” said the pigs sweetly. You see, they had put a pot of very hot stew at the bottom of the chimney. When the wolf came down the chimney, he landed right in the pot. “OUCH! OUCH! OUCH!” he yelled. Then, quick as a wind, he dashed out the door and ran far, far away. After that, the three little pigs lived happily in their cozy house of bricks. 5. Little Bee Little bee, little bee, why are you fleeing? Because there is a hungry frog chasing me. Hungry frog, hungry frog, why are you fleeing? Because there is a scary snake chasing me. Scary snake, scary snake, why are you fleeing? Because there is a mean hedgehog chasing me. Mean hedgehog, mean hedgehog, why are you fleeing? Because there is a fierce lion chasing me. Fierce lion, fierce lion, why are you fleeing? Because there is a big hunter chasing me. Big hunter, big hunter, why are you fleeing? Because there is a little bee chasing me. 6. The Little Ducklings The little duckling sees a peacock. “What a beautiful tail! I want beautiful wings, too!” Suddenly the little duckling has big, brown! The little duckling is very pleased. The little duckling sees a cock. “What a beautiful hat! I want a beautiful hat, too!” Suddenly the little duckling has a big, red, handsome hat! The little duckling is very pleased. All the little duckling’s friends swim in the river. The little duckling says, ‘Stop! Wait for me!’ And he jumps into the water. But his peacock’s tail is very heavy. His big, brown wings are very heavy. His long, thin, pink legs cannot swim. His handsome red hat is very heavy and he can’t breathe. ‘Glug! Glug! Glug! I want a little duckling’s tail, and a little duckling’s legs and wings, and I don’t want a hat!’ Suddenly the little duckling can swim. And he can swim very well. Soon he is with his friends. 7. The Frog Family This is a story about Daddy frog, Mummy frog, Sister frog, Brother frog, and Baby frog. It was hot ---- very, very hot, and Daddy frog went jump, jump, jump, and sat on a leaf in the pond. Come here!’ Mummy frog was hot --- very, very hot.
