某天,我买了一本杂志,发现上面有一个活动启事:谁能在这本杂志上找到20个错别字,就招他进本杂志编辑部当编辑。我赶紧花了一个下午的时间,把杂志里的错别字找出来,然后寄到这家杂志社。
One day,I bought a magazine and found a activity notice in it: Who can find 20 wrongly written characters in this magazine,we'll employ him/her as editor in the magazine's editorial department. I took an afternoon in a hurry to find the wrongly written characters in it and sent them to the magazine.
当时,我那老乡说:“别瞎忙了。有什么用,人家不一定当真。”
At that time,my fellow-townsman said:"Stop faffing about! What good will it do! They won't take it seriously."
两个月后,我去了这家杂志社并成为编辑,两年后,我的户口调入深圳,而我的老乡却回到了老家。
Two months later,I was employed by this magazine and became an editor, and two years later, I move my registered permanent
residence to Shenzhen, but my fellow-townsman returned to the hometown.
机遇就是这么简单。虽然不能说我成功了,但至少在机遇来时,我没有犹豫,并抓住了它。
Opportunity is in that simple. I can't say that I've achieved success,but I catch the opportunity without any hesitate when it comes.
