Step 1: Greetings
Greet the students as usual.
Step 2: New words
利用直观教学法在多媒体屏幕上闪现出一些有趣的图片来学习单词
T: Read the words.
Ss: (Read the words after the teacher.)
Give the students a few minutes to read the new words aloud by themselves.
Work on 1a Match the words with the things in the picture.
Give the students a few minutes to finish 1a.
Check the answers.
Step 3: Work on 1b Ask and answer the questions about the things in the picture above as follows.
A: What’s this in English?
B: It’s a watch.
A: How do you spell it?
B: W-A-T-C-H.
A: Is this your watch?
B: No, it isn’t. It’s Jim’s watch./Yes, it is. It’s my watch.
Then ask two pairs to go to the blackboard to act it out.
Step 4: Work on 1c Listen and circle the things you hear in 1a.
Play the tape for the students and ask them to finish this exercise.
Check the answers.
Step 5: Work on 1d Listen again. Write the things that belong to Linda or Mike.
Step 6: Work on 1e Pair work.
Step 7: Self Check Write the school things you know.
Give the students a few minutes to read and write the new words and then ask them to check each other.
Complete the chart with pronouns.
While the students are doing this exercise, the teacher goes around the classroom.
Check the answers.
