英语试讲教案 2013级本科试讲教案 A lesson plan for the warming up in Unit 1 Book1 执教学生:英语专业级本科5班18组 指导老师: Topic: Good friends Contents: How to describe a people? New words: handsome funny wise smart loyal honest brave New expressions: sb be fond of sth./doing sth Sb think(s) that … is boring/ terrible Know the standards of good friend Teaching aims: 1. To make good use of the new words and expressions about how to describe a people 2. To practice talking about their likes and dislikes especially using the new expressions correctly. 3. Know the standards of good friend Teaching difficulties: How to use the new words and expressions to describe their friend correctly Such as using words: honest loyal funny wise smart brave to describe their appearance and personality sb be fond of sth./doing sth and Sb think(s) that … is boring/ terrible to say hobbies. Teaching tools: CAI- PowerPoint or pictures Teaching procedures: Step 1: introduction and lead-in (2 mins) Introduce myself to them and say I want to be their friend to start our discussion about friends. And ask some volunteers to describe their friends to me. Write some adjs they used to describe their friend as a review or hint to the rest. Step 2: new words (5 mins) Introduce one of my old friends to start the learning of new words. T: Which word will you use to describe your male friend who is good-looking? S: Cool T: Yes cool. We can also use handsome to describe him. Read after me handsome. S: Handsome T: Handsome S: Handsome (The same way to teach them funny wise smart loyal honest and brave) Step 3 drills (4 mins) 1. Match work Teacher say names of famous people or animals and students say words to match them (such as dog is loyal. Beckham is handsome.) 2. Show pictures to them and then ask students to describe two famous people 章子怡and Beckham T: Can you describe her to us? S: …… T: Thank you. Very good. How about you? Can you describe him to us? S: …… Step 4 expressions to say your likes and dislikes (5 mins) ’ likes and dislike 1. Ask some volunteers to say something about their friendsand write some expressions they used to describe their friend as a review or hint to the rest. Ask every body looks at the blackboard. Read the expressions again. 2. Then teach them two more expressions to help them describe friends’ likes and dislikes as follows: First describe your likes: sb be fond of sth/doing sth…please read after me. S: Sb is fond of sth/doing sth… He /She is fond of … T: S: He/She is fond of T: We can say: he is fond of music. That means he likes music. Can anybody give me an example? S… (The same way to teach them: sb think(s) that …is terrible / boring.) Step 5 drill (2 mins) Ask them to use the two expressions they just learned to say some thing about their friends’ likes and dislikes. Step 6 Discussion (4 mins) Tell them a story of two friends and then began the discussion of standards of good friend. Next ask some students to say something about his or ideal friend. Step 7 Review (1 min) Everybody look at blackboard. Read the new words and expressions after teacher two times Step 8 Homework (1 min) Write a passage to describe their friends. And preview the next part of this unit.
