(visit Vt.) 这是我去年去过的地方。 It was raining on the day when they arrived. (arrive Vi.) 他们是在一个雨天到达的。 null5. 定语从句(attributive clause) (5)介词+关系词 ① 介词后面的关系词不能省略。 ② that前不能有介词。 ③ 某些在从句中充当时间,地点或原因状语的"介词+关系词“ 结构可以同关系副词when ,where和why 互换。如: This is the house in which I lived two years ago. This is the house where I lived two years ago. 这是我两年前住过的房子。 This is the reason why he came late. This is the reason for which he came late. 这是他迟到的原因。null5. 定语从句(attributive clause) (6)关系代词that 的用法 A.限制性定语从句只能用that的几种情况 ① 当先行词是anything, everything, nothing, few, all, none, little, some等代词时,或者是由every, any, all, some, no, little, few, much,each等修饰时;如 All that can be done has been done. 所以能做的已经做了。 Any boy that wants to succeed must work hard. 任何一个想成功的男孩都必须努力学习。 ② 当先行词被序数词修饰时;如: This is the first place that I want to visit. 这是我第一个想去的地方。null5. 定语从句(attributive clause) (6)关系代词that 的用法 A.限制性定语从句只能用that的几种情况 ③ 当先行词被形容词最高级修饰时;如: This is the best film that I have seen. 这是我看过的最好的一部影片。 ④当形容词被the very, the only, the same, the last 修饰时;如: This is the very good dictionary that I want to buy. 这是我想买的一本很好的字典。 ⑤当先行词为既指人又指物的并列名词词组时;如: He talked of the man and the books that interested him. 他谈到了他感兴趣的那个人和那些书。 ⑥当先行词前面有who, which, what等疑问代词时。 如:Who is the man that has white hair. 那个白头发的人是谁?null5. 定语从句(attributive clause) (6)关系代词that 的用法 B.不用that的情况 ① 在引导非限定性定语从句时,不用that 引导; ②介词后不能用that引导。null5. 定语从句(attributive clause) (7)as, which引导的非限定性定语从句 由as, which 引导的非限定性定语从句,as和which可代整个主句, 相当于and this或and that。在定语从句中它们都可以作主语和宾语。 但as 引导的定语从句可置于句首,而which不可。如: As we know, smoking is harmful to one's health. 我们知道吸烟对健康有害。 He is an Englishman, as I know from his accent. 他是个英国人,我可以从他的口音上了解到这一点。 He has to work on Sundays, which he doesn’t like. 他周日得工作,这一点他是不喜欢的。null5. 定语从句(attributive clause) (7)as, which引导的非限定性定语从句 说明: 关系代词as既可以引导限定性定语从句,也可引导非限定性 定语从句。当as引导限定性定语从句时,常用在“such…as” “the same…as”的结构中。如; Let’s discuss only such questions as concern us. (as作主语) 让我们只讨论与我们有关的问题吧。 I never heard such stories as he told. (as 作宾语) 我从未听过他讲的这类故事。 Her attitude to him was quite the same as it had always been. (当)莫扎特4岁的时候,开始写音乐作品。null(1)时间状语从句 (adverbial clause of time) ②.while当...时 He visited a lot of places while he was traveling. 他在旅途中参观了许多地方。 ③.as在...的同时;一边...一边... He smiled as he stood up. 他一边站起来一边笑着。 ④.after在...之后 He left the classroom after he had finished his homework the other day. 前几天做完作业之后回的家。null(1)时间状语从句 (adverbial clause of time) ⑤.before 在...之前 Mr. Brown had worked in a bank for a year before he came here. 布朗先生来这之前已经在一家银行里工作一年了。 ⑥.as soon as 一...就... We began to work as soon as we got there. 我们一到那就开始工作。 I will write to you as soon as I get home. 我一到家就给你写信。null(1)时间状语从句 (adverbial clause of time) ⑦.since 自…以来 到现在 表示自过去的一个起点时间到目前(说话时间)为止的 一段持续时间。主句一般用现在完成时,从句用一般 过去时。 Mr Green has taught in that school since he came to China three years ago. 自格林先生来中国以来,他就在这所学校教书。null(1)时间状语从句 (adverbial clause of time) ⑧ till /until 都可以作连词,连接时间状语,也可以 作介词,与其它词构成介词短语,在句中作状语。 They walked till /until it was dark. 他们一直走到天黑。 Xiao Ming didn’t leave home till / until his father came back. 小明直到他爸爸回来才离开家。 ⑨. by the time 到。。。为止 By the time he gets there, his father has already gone. 他到家的时候,他爸爸已经走了。 By the time I got to school, the class had already began. 我到校时,已经开始上课了。null说明: A.由when, while, as引导的时间状语从句。 when引导的从句的谓语动词可以是延续性的动词,又可以 是瞬时动词。并且when有时表示“就在那时”。如: When she came in, I stopped eating.她进来时,我在吃饭。 (瞬时动词) When I lived in the countryside, I used to carry some water for him. 当我住在农村时,我常常为他担水。(延续性的动词) We were about to leave when he came in. 我们就要离开,就在那时他进来了。 null说明: A.由when, while, as引导的时间状语从句。 While引导的从句的谓语动作必须是延续性的,并强调主句 和从句的动作同时发生(或者相对应)。并且while有时还 可以表示对比。如: While my wife was reading the newspaper, I was watching
