POINTS OF DIFFICL TY Understand the meaning of multiplication; know the internal relations for same addends and multiplication . AIMS Knowledge and technology: 1. have a general knowledge of multiplication. 2. know the multiply sign. Process and method: read and write with multiplication. Emotional attitudes and views: Develop the students’ ability of solving easy multiplication problems and have simple understanding about multiplication. T: Good morning everybody! S: Good morning , teacher! T: Look at this picture, there is a lamb wants to cross the river, but no bridge. There have four equations but no answers. If we can give this answers, we will help it build a addition bridge. T: Would you like to help it? S: Yes T: good, Let's go! The first answer is: the second answer is : the third one is :the last one is : good work ! Now we can build the addition bridge and the lamp can cross the river. It's very happy. T;Now, Look at this equations. What can you find out? S: the numbers are same. T: right, the numbers are same. In other words, the addends are same. The first one: there are two one add together. The second one: there are three two add together. The third one: there are ( ) add together. The last one: there are ( ) add together. S:four T: now, teacher have a question, if there are one hundred four add together, What should we do? well, it’s difficult to us. Yes? S: Yes! T: Don't worry! Today teacher will introduce a new method, it can save this problem easily. It’s multiplication. Blackboard-writing: Multiplication. Activity 2 (5min) T: look at this equation: 3+3+3+3=12 T: with the multiplication, we can write like this: 3×(4)=12 Three is the same number in this equation. and there are one two three four five three add together, so we can put five write here. It's more simple, yes? (1)”×”this is called multiply sign, it’s same with the plus sign and minus sign. It’s a kind of sign. (2)3 and 4 are both factors. (3)12 is called product. T: So the whole equation we can read: three multiply five is twelve. Follow me! T: The other way, we can also write like this:5×3=15 T: five multiply three is fifteen.. S: Do you understand it? Activity 3 (2min) (Exercise) Ok, now let's change the addition into the multiplication. then we can also build the multiplication bridge to help the lamb. Would you like to help it once more? S: Yes! T: OK, Let's look at the first one, with multiplication ,we can write like: the second one we can write like: the third one we can write like : the last one we can write like: Now the multiplication bridge have built and the lamb can cross the river again! You are so friendly. To reward you, teacher will bring us to animal kingdom. Let's go! There are so many animals in it? Yes? Now teacher have questions. How many rabbits in it, with the multiplication? At first, please pay attention to the picture, the rabbits are divided into three groups and there are two in each group, in other words, there are three two, so with the multiplication we can write: who can? Hands up! Now, look at the hens, how many hens in it? In same way, who can?--- Good work! It's seem that you have learned the multiplication, so let's judge the true or false! if you know the answer, you can put your hands up! The first one, true or false? Who can? --Good! The second one: true or false? -- perfect, the third one ,who can?--nice! The last one, who can?--good work! Activity 4 (1min) T: OK, let’s come back to our learning.
