Chinese culture is really profound. Because of the differences between the north and south geography resulted in the cultural diversity. Just like eating,I have a roommate who comes from the northern region,
we always have meals together. I find that she can eat noodles or steamed bread every meal without rice. She can eat very few dishes when she eats steamed bread. But I as a southerner am not used to eat noodles or other things made by flour.I must eat rice at lunch or dinner and we must eat several dishes. When we eat outside together,I find that I usually order many dishes,and she feel its extravagance and waste. Our dietary respect is very different. So I am very strang about this difference.
Why the staple between north and south is so different ? As this matter I refer to some material. The first reason is that the regional differences lead to the south to the north based on the rice and mainly wheat. Another reason is that the factor of natural environment. In the south the water hot conditions are good for the rice growth; the north is very droughty and less rain,is suitable for the growth of wheat. Third is that the structure of agricultural production is different. The climate of southern China is high temperture and rainy,and the cultivated land , in paddy field is given priority to, so local farmers plant growth habit like the rice adjust measures to local conditions of high temperature and rainy.Compared with the south,the northern climate is better for the wheat which likes the coldness and dry.
The south and the nouth’s character is not the same. The southerner is comely and delicate, calm and steady and introverted, is good at calculation; the northerner is bold and more rough wisdom,enthusiasm outgoing and thriftily. The reason for the difference,not because people from the south and the north the brain structure or genetic factors and what's the difference, but living geographical environment caused by different. It is for such a character so from the south and theh north with each other should be tolerant and comprehensive.
As a proverb said, a side water and soil raises one party, No matter where we come from, we all should to respect each other’s different culture. We should accept and understand for others to accept other people’s different culture and religion. Even if some of these phenomenon in our eyes look very strange, we should not blame others not. Imagine when you are in another place, because of different cultures and produce some misunderstanding,what should you do ? At this time youn will realise the kind of mood. So respect other’s culture is also a virtue.
The different region breeds different culture, it is the rich and colorful culture that constitudes the profound culture. We are living in a big family, respect each other should respect each other’s culture.
