The harmfulness of sleep deficit As we all know, enough sleep is of vital importance for people. Almost everyone has experienced the harmfulness of lacking of sleep, because most people cannot avoid insomnia or staying up at times, just like me. When I was a freshman, I had the insomnia for about three weeks. During these time, I could not fall asleep until around two or three o’clock before dawn. Every day I just could sleep for not more than five hours, and then I had to start my study for the whole day. Because of less time of sleeping, I often felt confused and disoriented and was unable to focus on the classes and had no idea about what theaters said. When reading a passage, I always did not know contends of it so that the plan of my study had been influenced. At those times, I had less of appetite and weakened immunity, and these led directly to my illness. As a result of sleep-deprived, I got black eyes and was haggard. What’s more, I became irritable, had ill temper and often in a bad mood. Lacking of sleep really has had a great influence in my life, physiology and mental. Just like my personal experience, it demonstrates that the lack of sleep can cause harmfulness. It will affect people in concentrating on their work or study. It can influence the condition of physiology of people. People who have no enough sleep would suffer from a series of health problems easily. As the same time, sleep-deprived will be harmful to people’s mental. It can drive people to produce the negative induced emotion. All in all, it is necessary for people to have enough sleep.
