Ask the students to listen to the tape and answer a question:

The teacher read the conversation and let the students read after the teacher.
Get the students to practice the conversation by themselves.

The teacher shows the pictures about some books.
The teacher asks:Who has read the book…? 这样自然过渡到2a
Play the tape for the first time.
Play the tape for a second time and check the answers.

e.g. Tina has read Treasure Island and Tom Sawyer. Both Tina and Mark have read Oliver Twist and Robinson Crusoe.
Then let the students go through the four sentences in 2b.
Play the tape to check the sentences are true or false.
Play the tape for the second time and let them check the answers.

Encourage the students to use the information in 2a and 2b to talk about the books.

Lead in:use some questions to introduce the conversation.

Then the students read the dialogue aloud and deal with the difficult points.
