MAJOR VIEW: DEBATE MATERIAL Group 1 proposer major view: Compared with creative imagination, book learning is more important for a scientist. Grounds of argument: 1, When we were young, we did not know anything about the science. After we went to school to study knowledge in textbooks,we gradually started to learn more and more. \If a scientist want to learn latest scientific achievements which he does not know, he must read books about them and they can contribute to his projects. 2, Newton, one of the greatest scientists in the world, suggested that" if I see further than others, it is because I stand on the shoulders of giants." It is indicated that previous experience is a crucial basis of scientific researches for most scientists. So where is the previous experience? They are mainly recorded in the books. Book learning will help scientist solve many problems and provide them with some reference materials about the projects. 3,Channels Keeler , German astrophysicist, made a great contribution to astrophysics. His teacher Teach Brake, Danish astronomer, has accumulated a great deal of data about planets through his long observation. Through studying the collected data from Teach and concluding the results , Keeler discovered the Three Laws of Keeler.Without the help of his teacher's books, he cannot do these jobs anymore. 4,Though creativity and imagination is necessary for scientists, what they create or imagine is just a guess about a theory, But the information from books has been proved to be a theory system . They are more helpful to research. 5, It is said that study breaks rolls, write if God. Books are the sum of human knowledge and the nutrition of the world. And it is never too old to learn. Book learning is necessary for everyone whoever you are. 6, We think that reading is more important to becoming a scientist. Reading is the foundation as a scientist , without foundation anyone won't achieve goals, just impracticably daydreaming, . I don't think the other statements are totally right. Everyone has his own ideas, but I want to ask the other friends, without elementary knowledge what can your creative,? Maybe just ridiculous ideas.Reading can enrich our thoughts, emotions, and teach us to get skills as well as correct our mistakes. To be honest you really feel life is so beautiful! 7, As we all know ,creation is very important ,especially for the inventors. But not all the scientists are the inventors .Well ,does every scientist need knowledge of the book? In my opinion ,the knowledge of book is basic of everything .if we don't have the knowledge how can we create?
